Today is John Giorno’s 90th birthday, and we have a good gift for him. After a hiatus of more than 30 years, the legendary record label GPS Records returns with its 45th release.

Titled VOICE OVER, the new LP picks up where the last ones left off—an artist has commissioned new tracks by other artists and made a compilation.

For this record, the artist, DJ, poet, and activist Juliana Huxtable brings spoken word into conversation with underground dance, hip-hop, and experimental music. She finishes each LP with hand-applied stickers, making every copy unique, and an inserted booklet features a new essay by John Twells.
Mixing Southern hip-hop, ballroom, and contemporary experimental club sounds, there are new tracks by Kim Gordon, Byrell The Great, Baby Tap, New York, MAP 71, No Bra, MHYSA, and Tongue in the Mind, Juliana’s own band. She also included existing tracks by Anne Clark, Bongwater, and Yungstar.

To celebrate VOICE OVER, Juliana has invited three of the musicians on the record to play live sets.

7pm: No Bra
8pm: NEW YORK
9pm: Byrell the Great

Pre-release copies of the LPs are available for sale on this night only. The LP is out in stores and online in late January 2027.

VOICE OVER, a compilation by Juliana Huxtable (GPS Records #45), 2026
Juliana Huxtable (b. 1981, USA) an artist, writer, performer, musician, and co-founder of the New York-based nightlife project Shock Value. She lives in New York.

No Bra was founded in 2003 in east London and is known for their confrontational performances and ridiculous lyrics. Now based in New York, No Bra has released 3 full length albums and has collaborated with Arca, NEW YORK, and Mykki Blanco among others.
NEW YORK is a duo of Gretchen Lawrence and Coumba Samba. The pair make hypnotic, deconstructed “girl pop” that reflects the fractured, chronically-online world we live in.  Their albums include rapstar* (Relaxin Records, 2024) and Push (self-released, 2025). They are based in New York.

Byrell the Great (b. 1990, USA) is one of the most celebrated DJs and producers of New York’s ballroom scene. He brings the pressure of vogue house, ballroom pop, and club edits into a sound that feels both rooted and future-facing.
Due to the age and character of the building, the space is not optimized for ADA accessibility and is located up a single flight of 20 stairs with handrails. If you have questions about access, please contact us in advance of the event, and we will make every effort to accommodate you.
